The Coastal Wall
The Haomei Community of Budai Township used to lose its vast sand beach because of the man-made and natural effects. A large amount of sand rolls up on the coast without windbreaks, hindering the breathing of clams and affecting the local industry.
Through a small sapling taking root downward that can catch wind, sand, water, and waves and the protected clams, the work praises the initiative the Haomei residents and church have taken for ten years to restore the windbreaks and the miracle that the coastline has been extended for 28 hectares.

Artist Iyo Kacaw from the East Coast, who also focuses on marine issues, uses a small sapling protecting the clam to interpret the miracle of windbreak forest restoration. In the stone painting workshop, residents of Haomei carefully use pearlescent paint to outline the patterns on the clam shells, creating what will soon be installed at the highest point of the artwork—a vibrant and radiant 'little tree seed' shining in the sunlight!
